The Department of Pathology at RPGMC Kangra plays a central role in disease diagnosis through microscopic and molecular examination of tissues and body fluids. The department is committed to excellence in diagnostic pathology, research, and education.

Location
Pathology Block, 1st floor, adjacent to the main hospital building.
Specimen Submission
- Biopsy specimens received in Pathology Block, Room 101
- Cytology samples (FNAC / fluid) received in Cytopathology section
- Frozen section requests: Contact pathology department at least 30 minutes prior
- All specimens must be accompanied by a completed requisition form
- Urgent / emergency specimens clearly marked as "STAT"
Report Timelines
Routine histopathology: 5–7 working days
Frozen section: Within 30 minutes
Cytopathology (FNAC / Pap): 3–5 working days
Immunohistochemistry: 7–10 working days
