Introduction

The Department of Forensic Medicine is situated on the ground floor of Dr. B.C. Roy Para clinical block. It houses a museum, library, laboratory, and examination room for skeletal remains. The museum has about 50 mounted specimens, 100 weapons, and 200 Toxicology specimens. The mortuary is equipped with ultra modern autopsy tables and cooling chambers for 6 bodies.

Our Purpose

Vision & Mission

Vision

Provide best medico-legal services to investigating agencies, judiciary and people of Himachal Pradesh. Overcome shortage of Forensic Medicine experts. Establish Clinical Forensic Medicine unit, Histopathology Lab, Anthropometry Lab, Toxicology Lab and Radiology facility.
