The Department of Microbiology was setup in November 1997. It is located in the left wing of the 2nd floor of Dr. B.C. Roy Para clinical Block. The department provides state-of-the-art diagnostic Microbiology services and is committed to excellence in medical education and research.

Provide state-of-the-art diagnostic Microbiology services, achieve excellence in medical education and research, provide round the clock emergency services, incorporate new curriculum, upgrade clinical lab services by NABL accreditation, set up BSL-III level laboratory.

Develop compassionate and ethical health professionals, foster innovations in education, encourage original research, support creative young minds, drive clinical transformation with emphasis on quality.
